Our Facilities |

Our Nursery is designed to be spacious and self contained so we may give your baby the individual care and attention they require at this early stage. The Nursery is separate from the other rooms containing its own kitchen and cot room. The ratio of Nursery Nurses to babies is 1:3. Staff record all the feeding, sleeping, nappy changing and medical administration so that you can monitor your baby’s routine closely. The Nursery has direct access to our matted outdoor play area as we believe being outdoors as much as possible is as important and healthy for your child. In our Nursery we will keep your child busy with stimulating, visual, physical and audio education resources. We understand that caring and learning go hand in hand. |
Once your child starts to find his/her feet, they will join our Wobbler Room. During this time your child will learn how to walk properly. They will spend much of their day exploring, socialising and experimenting. The ratio of staff to children in this area is 1:5. Staff will record all the feeding, sleeping, nappy-changing, play and learn activities and any medical administration.

The pre-school room is equipment with more advanced equipment. In this area your child will be introduced gradually to the Montessori Method in its simple form. Your child will first experience a more structured school environment, allowing the teacher to work with your child in small group activities. Progress reports will be recorded on a daily basis and activities such as arts and crafts are sent home periodically |
When your child turns two years of age they will join our Toddler Room where they will be introduced to more advanced equipment, sand and water play, arts and crafts and a daily schedule of activities with monthly themes introduced. Their level of communication has increased and they will now be able to formulate ideas. The staff ratio to children in this room is 1:6. All routines and activities are recorded daily so you can monitor his/her progression. When you decide your child is ready to be toilet trained, our staff will work with you to encourage this. |
Our Montessori Room is where your child will be introduced to all areas of this method of education on a one to one basis as well as within small groups. The Montessori Method allows children to reach their unique individual potential through the prepared environment that allows intellectual, social, physical, emotional and spiritual freedom. Your child learns with ease in a relaxed and orderly environment, and our teachers respects and guides each child according to his/her unique stage of development. Through the Montessori teaching and other techniques, your child will grasp the fundamentals of reading, writing and mathematics. When your child is ready for “big school” Montessori allows a smooth transition. Again your child’s progress is recorded daily so you may monitor his/her progression.

When your child comes in from “Big school” they are naturally tired and hungry. In our After-school service we provide a hot dinner when your child arrives. We then encourage them to start their homework and assist them when needed. All homework is checked by staff . A planned activities programme for the week is put into effect by the children themselves, including arts and crafts, geoboards and board games, physical games and outdoor play and computer activities. This service runs from 2-6pm during school term and we also provide care for school holidays/days off if required.
